With all the Legendary Pokémon that appear in Pokémon Sword and Shield, you are probably wondering how to get their special items.
Pokemon sword and shieldThe latest DLC, Crown Tundra, is live and we’re as excited as everyone. In addition to the awesome new story, crazy new Legends (I love Galarian Zapdos so much) and other fun new things to do, it also allows transfer of almost all previous Legendary and Mythic Pokémon from previous games (with the exception of Meloetta, but I’m going to rant about that elsewhere.)
The only problem is that many of these mythical have elements necessary for them to reach their full potential. In addition to items like Lustrous Orbs that allow Palkia to have her Dragon- and Water-type moves empowered, there are also items like the Reveal crystal that allow the Forces of Nature to alter their forms. In fact, there are a lot of Legendaries that can shapeshift, but since you can’t transfer items from previous games, what do you do?
Turns out the answer is SUPER simple thanks to the most unknown NPC in the game.
Whenever you transfer a Legendary to Sword or Shield that has a special item on it, simply go down to the town of Stow on Side. There you can find the seller brothers. You’re going to look for this guy right here.
All you have to do is go over and talk to him and he will give you all the items you need, no purchase necessary. For example, when I spoke to him after transferring my Genesect, he was kind enough to give me all the necessary units to change his laser type.
And another amazing thing that I discovered through experimentation is that the elements have no special requirements and can often do very cool things that the original versions couldn’t.
For example, I got a Zygarde cube that I used on my shiny Zygarde. When I chose to use it, it simply allows me to toggle between 10% shape and 50% shape. Not only that, but it also allows me to toggle between all the available skills, which is amazing. Look how simple this is.
Of course, most people will use this to get the strongest versions of their Pokémon, but I’m a special guy and I used it to turn my shiny Zygarde into these wonderful pups.
I mean, look at this. He is the nicest boy in the game and has a thousand arrows for anyone who disagrees.
