How to create a live shared Spotify playlist for you and your friends

[ad_1]

welcome to TNW Basics, a collection of tips, guides, and advice on how to easily make the most of your gadgets, applications, and other things.

Imagine this: You are at your friend’s house for a party and you want to play a song. You will ask them to add that song to a queue or to connect your phone to their music system. Spotify has launched a feature called Group Sessions to end this whole cumbersome process.

Group sessions will allow you and your friends to join a session to queue songs. There is no limit to how many people can join this session. However, the feature only works for premium users at this time.

This is how you can use it:

  • Open the Spotify app on your mobile device or desktop computer.
  • Play the Playing now bar at the bottom.
  • Tap the connected devices icon

    .

  • Generate a code in Group Sessions and ask your friends to scan it through the camera to join.

You can touch End session to finish that particular queue.

This feature will solve many problems for me at home parties. Hopefully it will also be implemented for free users.
