The PC version of Horizon Zero Dawn now has patch 1.04. Announced on the game’s Steam Community page, the patch revolves around fixing some of the myriad issues the game has been suffering from since its PC release.
“This patch aims to fix additional bugs as well as a number of gameplay and performance improvements,” the post says. “We continue to investigate open issues and will inform you when we have more news available.”
While the update fixes many issues, including startup crashes and numerous AI crashes, there are still some known issues that the studio is working to fix, including issues with anisotropic filtering and issues with Aloy’s hair when running the game over 30 FPS.
Patch 1.04 also brings performance improvements, with a 1% to 10% improvement based on CPU and GPU speeds. Other improvements brought in with the patch include fixing color banding issues in HDR mode, mouse sensitivity and lens issues. See the full list of patch notes for more details.
