Green Arrow is coming to ‘Fortnite’ but there’s a catch

Green Arrow, aka Oliver Queen, is coming to Fortnite.

DC’s latest comic book mask is based on the CW version of the billionaire vigilante, played by Stephen Amell.

First Arrow The star even joked about it on Twitter, referencing the hero’s blonde goatee, conspicuously absent from the TV adaptation:

If you haven’t looked Arrow, Here’s a look at Oliver Queen from Amell:

The Fortnite version bears a good likeness, a lively image, so to speak, which is fine by me. I used to enjoy a lot Arrow Before everything went to hell Before the showrunners let fans send Oliver and Felicity in and drown the show in cheesy melodrama, endless lies and hoaxes, and the need to do each character is a superhero.

Boy that sure sounds like how they ruined too The flash It is not like this? I started watching the first few seasons of these two shows with my kids because A) my son is super interested in Flash and B) both shows had stellar first seasons (and Arrow it also had a great second season). But I don’t think I’ll be able to watch past the second seasons of any of the shows again or I’ll go crazy. I quit both shows long before they were canceled. I went through both shows for as long as I could before a combination of ridiculously stupid writing, Olicity, and toxic fanatics made it too overwhelming.

MORE FROM FORBESArrow is dead and Olicity killed her

Regardless, I’m still happy to see Green Arrow coming to Fortnite, where he can go back to being rock-cold badass rather than constantly engulfed in silly drama and bad romance. Despite all the flaws in the show, I still have a fondness for him and Stephen Amell, who did a phenomenal job as Oliver Queen and seems like a really nice person. (I have the same feelings for The flash and Grant Gustin and many other members of both casts).

The capture

There is a catch, of course.

The Green Arrow skin won’t make it to the Item Shop (like Batman) or even a real money bundle (like the Joker skin). It’s the Crew skin for January, part of Epic’s new Fortnite subscription service. Subscribers get a skin each month along with 1,000 V-Bucks and access to the current Battle Pass. Not a bad deal at all, especially when skin is taken into account. Just the skin and the V-Bucks would cost more than the $ 11.99 fee.

But it does mean that this skin will only be available to subscribers. If you want it bad enough, you can always subscribe for a month and then cancel. I subscribed. In fact, outside of platform subscriptions, this is my only gaming subscription. I guess I’m just a Fortnite fan after all.

The Green Arrow skin also comes with Tactical Quiver Back Bling plus Style and Boxing Glove Pickaxe. Very cool.
