Gopro has released its 2020 flagship action camera, Hero 9 Black, which comes with support for 5K video support, 20MP photos, and better video stabilization. The Hero 9 Black comes with a front screen and is said to offer 30% more battery life. There is also a new Max Lens Mod accessory. It brings Max HyperSmooth video stabilization and Max SuperView ultra-wide-angle photo and video to Hero 9 Black.
GoPro has also removed the plastic from the Hero 9 Black’s packaging and added value by packaging the camera in a high-quality travel case that fits additional mounts and accessories.
Along with 20MP photos, it supports video formats: 5K30, 4K60, 2.7K120, 1440p120, 1080p240 and more. The new 1.4-inch front color screen offers live preview and status modes. Larger 2.27-inch screen is touch-friendly and offers touch zoom
The Hero 9 Black offers HyperSmooth 3.0 with in-camera horizon leveling, TimeWarp 3.0 with real speed and half speed, 1080p live streaming, 1080p webcam mode, SuperPhoto + HDR Night lapse video and RAW photos.
It comes with voice control with 14 commands. As for audio, there are 3 microphones with advanced wind noise reduction along with stereo + RAW audio. It also offers a larger speaker to improve audio reproduction.
The new $ 99.99 Max Lens Mod brings shatterproof Max HyperSmooth video stabilization and ultra-wide low-distortion Max SuperView to HERO9 Black with up to 2.7K60 resolution. Max Lens Mod also allows horizon blocking even when the camera is rotated a full 360 degrees.
HERO9 Black Compatible Mods also include the HERO9 Black Media Mod with a removable foam windscreen; Display Mod and Light Mod.
