After three years of software and security updates, Google released a final software update for the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.
The final software update for the devices features the December 2020 security patches, which were released earlier this week as part of a Pixel update. That update included several new features and was available for Google devices dating back to the Pixel 3.

One of the coolest new features is called Adaptive Sound. The feature, available for Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5, can improve the sound quality of your phone’s speaker based on your surroundings by using your device’s microphone to assess acoustics near you and then adjusting the EQ settings of sound in certain applications.
Meanwhile, the feature drop also included new wallpapers, increased availability of Google’s Hold for Me feature, and adaptive connectivity, which will automatically switch the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G from 5G to 4G depending on the app being used. are using. For things like browsing the web or sending a text message, your phone will choose 4G. To stream a movie or download large files, it will switch to 5G.
