Google Cloud and Lenovo have partnered to launch meeting room hardware kits for Google Meet.
The kits, called the Google Meet Series One, consist of a smart audio bar with eight beam-forming microphones, a Meet computer system with a specially designed Chrome operating system, a microphone capsule, a 10.1 touch screen driver ”And a 4K 20.3 megapixel. 4.3x zoom camera in charcoal and chalk color options.
The kits can also be expanded with additional microphone modules and an additional audio bar for stereo sound.
The computer system and the audio bar use several of the same technologies that are used in Google’s data centers. This includes its Coral M.2 accelerator modules with Google Edge Tensor Processing Units (TPUs) for artificial intelligence (AI) audio and video processing to preserve privacy.
The kits also contain TrueVoice, Google’s multi-channel noise cancellation and voice amplification technology, and access to the Google Assistant for voice-activated commands.
Detailed in a blog post by TJ Varghese, Google Meet group product manager for hardware, timing means that it is “more critical than ever” to support social distancing measures as companies begin to return to offices now. redesign meeting spaces to accommodate collaboration between remote and in-person employees.
The kits are available in three sizes, the small at A $ 3,704.92 / NZ $ 4,036.79, the medium at A $ 4,116.73 / NZ $ 4,485.48 and the large at A $ 5,489.43 / NZ $ 5,981.14.
