Each new day brings new cases of the COVID-19 pandemic. Because people are forced to stay home. So far, all the records have been broken. According to a report, around 70 million coronavirus cases have been reported worldwide and there are more than 1.5 million deaths so far. However, more than 49 million people have recovered from this deadliest virus.
What is more alarming is that people do not have accurate and up-to-date details on COVID-19 precautions and its vaccines. There is good news that the vaccine for this deadliest virus is coming soon. Hopefully, this vaccine will help stop this disease to a great extent. According to Google, people get misinformation about this vaccine.
So, Google has made a big announcement that will put the latest details on COVID-19 vaccines at the forefront to stop the spread of misinformation. This is a great initiative by Google to provide reliable information and this will make searching easier. Google stated that it will not only display the list of licensed vaccines, but will also make the panel on each individual vaccine.
According to Google, this feature was first launched in the UK. Google provided the latest information earlier this month in its search panel on the latest vaccines produced by Pfizer, BioNTech and Fosun Pharma. Google says this feature will be rolled out in other countries and regions as local health authorities authorize their vaccines. The Google search panel will have two tabs, one will give the overview of the licensed vaccine that will appear above the top news and links to national resources, as well as government websites. The second section will organize the news related to the vaccine.
Google further stated that we have long-standing policies prohibiting harmful and misleading medical or health-related content. We are working hard to bring reliable information to everyone and stop false conspiracy theories and unreliable information about COVID-19 vaccines.
