343i pokes fun at our first look at Halo 3 running on PC, and it looks pretty cool.
Halo 2 is not yet available on the Master Chief Collection PC port, but 343i is already bragging Halo 3. It looks like we’ll be getting the full MCC on PC in 2020 after all. The screenshots are certainly sparse, but they do show some awesome lighting effects and textures that have been replayed since the Xbox 360 original. Images are not They look as dramatic as, say, Halo 2: Anniversary, but these are screens in development and not finished images.
Halo 3: ODST is also on the way. This is a big problem for me because I loved the Firefight mode (I still play it to this day on Xbox 360) and am excited to try it on PC with FPS and higher response times.
However, it will still be a while before we have Halo 3 on PC. Right now, 343i is testing Halo 2 on PC (we played it, and it’s pretty good, basically a Halo 2: Anniversary with PC controls and higher FPS) and Halo 3 will follow in the coming months. No time has been described for the full MCC signaled release, but also remember that each game sells separately on Steam for $ 10 each. Halo Reach and Halo 1 are currently available at that price.
