Genshin Impact’s new character Klee has a release date

Genshin Impact receives a new Banner: Sparkling Steps. This banner features Klee, a Pyro boy who drops bombs. Replaces the Banner from Ballad of Goblets, which featured Venti.

The Banner Sparkling Steps will launch in Genshin Impact on October 20, and offers a higher probability on Klee. As with Venti, each five-star extraction from Sparkling Steps Banner has a 50% chance of being Klee. If you don’t get Klee on your first five-star pull, you’re guaranteed to get her on your second five-star pull. This banner also comes with a 90 spins mercy, which means you’ll get a guaranteed five-star every 90 spins. The most wish you can make without Klee is 180.

Also like Ballad of Goblets, the Klee Banner includes a higher chance for some four-star characters. 50% of all four-star characters you draw will be Xingqiu, Noelle, or Sucrose.

Prior to the Sparkling Steps Banner, Klee was not available in-game. But players were able to see it during the game’s beta period and through an in-game test quest line at Adventure Rank 32.

Klee works a bit differently than other wizards, or catalyst users. Their basic attacks drop pyrotechnic bombs, while holding down the attack button creates a fire laser that fires a small area. Its primary ability has two charges and causes it to throw a bomb forward. The bomb bounces a few times, explodes and leaves some fire mines. His ultimate ability causes fire lasers to fall on nearby enemies for a short period of time.

With the removal of their banner, players can no longer obtain Venti from any wish. Based on his Limited Time Banner, Klee is likely to be the same way. Players probably only have up to Genshin ImpactUpdate 1.1, hitting servers on November 11, to unlock Klee.

As always, players can use in-game Primo Gems to purchase more intertwined destinations to make Wishes, or spend real money on Wish for Klee.
