New working hours will change once weather conditions change

The Gambella region has introduced changes in the working hours of public services due to the increase in temperature.

FBC quoted the head of the president’s office in the region, Peter Howo, as saying that the rise in temperature created inconvenience for work.

According to the new working hours, the usual working hours will be from 7 am to 11:30 am and the afternoon hours will be from 4 pm to 6:30 pm

The changes will remain in effect for the next three months, the region revealed.

Parts of the region that are not affected by climate change, such as the Majanga area, will continue to use the regular working hours in the region, which are 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. local time and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. : 30 pm local time.

Currently, the highest daily temperature in the region is said to exceed 40 degrees Celsius, according to a FBC report.
