The first versions of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S21 have now been shared, giving us an idea of what looks like a refinement of the existing S20 series design.
Shared by Steve Hemmerstoffer AKA @THEnLeaks On the new social network Voice, CAD-based renders show the potential design of the standard Galaxy S21 or S30, based on Samsung’s new naming convention. Given Hemmerstoffers’ stellar track record and rumors of an early 2021 release cycle for the S21 series, these renderings are highly likely to be quite accurate.
Design-wise, the renderings of the Galaxy S21 show what looks very familiar from the front. There is a 6.2-inch flat screen with an Infinity-O punch hole that will certainly house a selfie camera. It is at the rear where the design appears to have been modified with what appears to be a “wrap-around” triple camera housing.
You can see the camera bump extending around the edges of the frame, with the LED flash built into the rear panel, last seen on the Galaxy Note 10 series. It’s not clear which lenses we’ll see, but we imagine that The 108-megapixel sensor seen on the S20 and Note 20 series will return. There will likely be an ultra-wide lens and possibly a telephoto zoom lens.
You can see the proposed renders of the Galaxy S21 below:
Hemmerstoffer also shared some of the device’s dimensions alongside renders of the Galaxy S21, with the upcoming phone measuring roughly 151.7 x 71.2 x 7.9mm (9.0mm with the camera bumper included).
No other specs were shared with the renders, but there are also rumors that the recently confirmed Exynos 1080 chipset will be integrated into the S21 / S30. However, it is rumored to be a mid-range chipset, which would not fit the flagship Galaxy S21 series.
