Samsung’s largest mobile experience store in India, the Opera House store in Bengaluru, today confirmed a ton of details about the upcoming Galaxy S21, S21 + and S21 Ultra.
First, the much-rumored global filing date of January 14. Next, it looks like sales in India will start on January 29, a week after the global launch. That means we may see availability elsewhere starting January 22.
Finally, some details on the specifications. According to the store, the S21 trio on the subcontinent will work with Samsung’s own Exynos 2100 chipset, and not the Snapdragon 888. The S21 Ultra is confirmed to have a 108 MP main camera sensor, as well as a couple of units of 10 MP. , of which one has a 10x optical zoom. The store did not talk about the fourth camera, but according to past leaks it will be a 12 MP ultrawide.
The Galaxy S21 will launch in gray, pink, purple and white, the S21 + in pink, purple, silver and black, and the S21 Ultra in black and silver. According to a previous report, prices in India will remain unchanged from the Galaxy S20 series.
