Fortnite on PC it has been reduced considerably, from over 90 GB to just under 30 GB, thanks to recent optimizations from developer Epic.
News, detailed yesterday in a Fortnite The update note posted on the game service’s Twitter account means that a successful Battle Royale will now take up much less disk space on your computer. That gives you more room for other games, or some extra breathing space in case you have the monstrous Call of Duty: Modern Warfare / Warzone installed.
Please note that the patch size will be larger than normal on the PC (approximately 27GB). This is for optimizations on PC that result in greatly reduced Fortnite file size (over 60GB smaller), smaller downloads for future patches, and improved upload performance.

As the update note emphasizes, PC players will need to download a larger-than-normal patch before the overall file size reduction will take effect. But after that, the game shouldn’t be more than a third of its previous size. The patch is also configuring the game to improve loading performance and smaller future patches in the future, speeding up the time it takes to update. Fortnite and play again.
