FIFA 21 is available one day early on next-gen systems for fans who purchased the game in the current version. There are a number of game videos that pop up, but most of them don’t exactly capture the beauty of 4K gaming due to system limitations.
Not only has the Operation Sports YouTube channel found the correct settings for 4K capture on the PlayStation 5, they have also put together a video comparing the game to the PlayStation 4 version.

First impressions: the biggest differences
Haptic feedback in the PS5 controller continues to be a game changer, and that’s especially the case in sports games. In FIFA for PS5, in addition to some resistance to triggers when controlling a tired player, you can feel the roar of a large crowd erupting in one of the game’s huge stadiums.
It could be one of the most immersive uses of technology I’ve felt in nearly three weeks of play.
The visual differences are not that noticeable. The close-ups of the players generate some surprising detail, but from the playable cameras, it’s harder to see the updates. Honestly, with a game like world football, this is to be expected.
The gameplay feels solid, but I can’t say I feel much of a difference on that front thus far.
However, I will focus on the areas of the game that were said to have been updated, and those will be my areas of focus in my next review.
The review is in process
Expect to see a full review of the PS5 version of FIFA 21 before Monday, December 7.
