Every FIFA fan knows that building a team of dominated players is essential to success in Ultimate Team.
Forget the extreme of 88 with a 69 pace, you need that 79 beast with a 95 pace to instill fear in opposing players.
So with FIFA 21 Ultimate Team up and running, we’ve decided to take a look at what it takes to build an exciting and dominated Premier League XI at a fair price.
It wasn’t easy, but we think we’ve built a team for less than 100,000 coins that should serve frugal FIFA players well in the first weeks of the new game.
Prices, which change regularly throughout the day, are courtesy of FUTBIN, Squad Builder built with FUTHead.
Formation: 4-3-3
Goalkeeper: Rui Patricio | Wolves | 4400 coins
An 84 keeper with great base stats for less than 5,000 coins? Sign up!
Right back: Ricardo Pereira | Leicester | 18,000
The most expensive player of our XI. There was no way we could turn down one of the best right-backs in FIFA 21 for such a cheap price.
Central defender: Fikayo Tomori | Chelsea | 9,100 coins
It really is simple, if you can pick a central defender with an 80 beat for less than 10,000 coins at the start of any FIFA game, you do it!
Central defender: Eric Bailly | Man Utd | 10,000 coins
Not to the level of his previous cards, but Bailly still seems worthy of a spot in FIFA 21 XI for the first few weeks of the game, at least.
Left back: Kieran Tierney | Arsenal | 5,500 coins
Tierney’s breakneck pace and impressive physical stats see the Scotsman take the left-back spot in our XI. The 76 card from the former Celtic was an absolute monster at the beginning of FIFA 20.
Defensive midfielder: Jean-Philippe Gbamin | Everton | 4,100 coins
Aside from his shots, Gbamin looks like a beast. With base 70+ ratings in speed, dribbling, passing, defense and physique, the Ivorian is the perfect man to sit at the base of midfield.
Center-middle: Mateo Kovacic | Chelsea | 8,000 coins
Every midfield needs a dribbler, which is why we opted for Kovacic. The Chelsea player is also quite fast for a midfielder and his 87 dribbles mean he will pass the players for fun.
Central mind: Abdoulaye Doucoure | Everton | 1,100 coins
Cheapest XI player. Doucoure is the definitive acquisition for the opening weeks of FIFA 21, as he can pretty much do it all in midfield thanks to five of his six base stats being rated 70+. Without a doubt, he will take crucial goals from deep.
Right: Willian | Arsenal | 5,000 coins
He may not be the fastest right winger in the Premier League, but Willian’s impressive dribbling, shooting and passing stats make him the complete package in attack.
Forward: Rodrigo Moreno | Leeds | 17,750 coins
It’s always worth spending a lot of money on a striker and Rodrigo is a perfect fit. A pace index of 91, need we say more?
Left: Christian Pulisic | Chelsea | 11,500 coins
With Willian lacking a bit of rhythm on the right, we’ve opted for the American sprinter on the left to balance things out. It’s a shame that his shots are only rated 70, but don’t let that stop you from bringing in Pulisic.
