Demon’s Souls was recently rated for release on PlayStation 5 in Japan and Korea, suggesting that it may be part of the next-gen console launch line. Since the system reveal event earlier in the year, the headline of the platform has been particularly secretive, giving only details about Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
However, the aforementioned ratings sparked some “internal” speculation that the Bluepoint-developed remake was originally slated to be part of the PS5’s Day One software offering, before the coronavirus pandemic, anyway. It’s interesting how prominent Demon’s Souls is in the marketing of the console. This is obviously an important main title for Sony, but it hasn’t been given a rough release window like Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales yet. Could you be part of the launch lineup? We think there is a different possibility, to be honest, but given the global situation at the moment, all bets are off.
