Ethiopian delivers second round of life-saving supplies

Ethiopian cargoEthiopian Airlines has delivered a second round of life-saving shipments of medical supplies to combat COVID-19 donated by Jack Ma to all African countries.

Ethiopian Airlines expresses its complements and the highest thanks to the Jack Ma Foundation, our Prime Minister S.E. Dr. Abiy Ahmed, WFP and the African CDC for giving us the opportunity to serve Africa, our beloved continent and our African brothers and sisters during this unprecedented global health and economic crisis. As a true indigenous pan-African airline that has been serving Africa for Africans, there is nothing more enjoyable for the 17,000-person workforce on Ethiopian Airlines than to come to the rescue of our African people especially in delivering COVID-19 medical supplies that save lives.

It should be recalled that Ethiopia successfully delivered the first round of donations from the Jack Ma and Alibaba Foundation to African countries, which was started by the Ethiopian Prime Minister, Dr. Abiy Ahmed.

Thanks to the established capacity of the Ethiopian Freight and Logistics Services in terms of dedicated personnel, state-of-the-art facilities and young fleet, Addis Ababa has recently been designated by WFP and WHO as the Humanitarian Air Center to send critical supplies to Africa.
