ADDIS ABABA – The Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF) have seized strategically important areas paving the way for control of both Board members and Mekelle, the capital of Tigray state.

Since the start of the operation, the people of Tigray have supported ENDF.

Speaking to the Ethiopian News Agency (ENA) yesterday, Lieutenant General Hassen Ebrahim said that the law enforcement operation has continued with more vigor to secure more cities in the state of Tigray.

It has indicated that strategic locations such as Hawzein, Al-Nejash, Adi Keih, Mai Mesanu and Wukro have been liberated.

Following the Board’s firm stance not to surrender to federal forces due to the ultimatum offered, the operation has continued since Thursday.

He also said that ENDF members on the Adwa front controlled Hawzein, Abrha WeAtsbha and Wukro while releasing Agula in half a day.

On the second front, the army that started from Adigrat captured Senkata, Nejashi and seized Wukro.

On the third front that comes from Raya, the army has captured places called Adi keyi and hewane after destroying all the trenches. The army has finished its preparation to launch its final operation to capture Mekelle and the criminal junta that hides there.

People have also shown their loyalty to the military by showing their support for the operation. The junta has also refrained from propaganda showing its defeat.
