The latest giveaway for free games on the Epic Games Store is the multiplayer shooter Star Wars Battlefront II, which goes on sale next week.
Next week, Epic Games Store is giving away 2017’s Star Wars: Battlefront II as part of their ongoing free games program. This program has been a boon to cash-strapped gamers trapped at home thanks to last year’s COVID-19 pandemic, allowing them to build an expansive library of top-notch PC games without spending a penny.
The festivities got under way during the holiday season as Epic offered a new free game every day during December. Among these offerings was the 2014 survival horror title. Alien: Isolation, the theme park building game full of dinosaurs Evolution of the Jurassic world and the island management simulator Tropic 5. It also doesn’t appear that Epic is slowing down its free-to-play streak in 2021, as its latest giveaway is slated to take players to the iconic Star Wars galaxy for a multiplayer war that spans nearly every different era in the franchise.

As reported by Comicbook.com the present day, Star Wars Battlefront II: Celebration Edition will be available for free on the Epic Games store starting January 14th to 21S t. Included in the Celebration Edition Along with the main game content, there are up to 25 alternate hero appearances (including Rey, Finn, and Kylo Ren’s looks based on Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker), more than 125 soldier and reinforcement skins, 100 hero and soldier emotes, and more than 70 hero and soldier victory poses. Like all titles Epic gives away, players will be able to download and keep the game for as long as they want, as long as they claim it during the one-week gift window – a small matter of clicking a few on-screen prompts.
Initially released in 2017 along with Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Battlefront ii was largely met with ridicule from gamers due to its over-reliance on the type of microtransactions that had become the norm in multiplayer titles of the time. However, after years of playable character updates and expansions, the game was hailed as legitimately solid. Star Wars experience on par with previous titles based on Galaxy Far, Far Away. Even after its final expansion released last April, players still breathe new life into Star Wars Battlefront II modifying now iconic characters like The mandalorian adorable yellow child.
