Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age has been removed from the Steam roster with the release of Dragon Quest 11 S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definite Edition.

Steam has removed Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age out of the store at the request of the publisher, Square Enix.

According to the notice, this version of the game is no longer available due to the release of Dragon Quest 11 S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition.

Those who have already purchased the game will still be able to download and play it, but those who do own it are a bit disturbed that in order to acquire the bonus content they will have to dole out the funds to purchase the Definitive Edition. This is because there is no upgrade option for original title owners.

Steam users have posted reviews expressing their displeasure, and the game that originally received very positive reviews is now a mixed bag thanks to a host of new negative reviews.

Released yesterday December 4, the game is the first in the series to arrive on Xbox. Originally released on Switch, it is now available on PS4 and Steam as well.
