EA Play for PC players with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate has been delayed until 2021, Microsoft announced.

The service was intended to partner with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for PC subscriptions today (December 15) after being added to consoles last month (November), but has since been delayed until next year to allow “more time to provide the game Pass experience ”.

In a Xbox Wire post, the company delved into the delay of the service, citing that its original intentions “had been a celebration post [but] now it is one that asks for a little more patience ”. He later reiterated that he is “passionate” and wants to create a “great experience” for the players:

“We established this partnership with Electronic Arts because they are as passionate as we are about helping people and communities discover great games, and we knew we could bring a great experience to members by working together. In order to meet that, we need more time to deliver the Xbox Game Pass experience. “

An expected release window was not mentioned, however Microsoft has said it will discuss the arrival of EA Play for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on PC, “early next year.”

EA Play’s partnership coincided with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for consoles last month, along with the arrival of Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. It’s available at no additional cost to Ultimate members and gives users access to a library of titles selected by EA.

To mark its inclusion in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, EA added Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order in service, almost a year after its initial launch.
