[ad_1]

In recent years, Netflix has attracted many of Hollywood’s biggest stars to appear in its original films, but perhaps none have had as star-studded a cast as the upcoming Don’t Look Up movie.

Jennifer Lawrence had already been cast in the movie but, as if that wasn’t enough, a host of big stars have been announced for Adam McKay’s movie, including (deep breath) Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Timothee Chalamet , Himesh Patel, Jonah Hill, Rob Morgan, Tomer Sisley and Friends star in Matthew Perry.

And it’s not just acting royalty that will appear in the film, with mega-successful musicians Ariana Grande and Kid Cudi also joining the cast.

Read on for everything we know so far about Don’t Look Up.

When is Don’t Look Up released on Netflix?

The film was originally scheduled to hit the streaming service in 2020Although that will no longer be the case, in part due to the effect of the coronavirus pandemic.

A new date has not been announced yet, but RadioTimes.com predicts that it might not be until 2022 that the film lands on the streaming platform. We will update this page as we hear more official information.

Do not look for cast

The first cast member to be announced was Jennifer Lawrence, before Rob Morgan was confirmed to be a co-star.

In October 2020, a glut of big-name stars were added to the cast list, featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Timothee Chalamet, Himesh Patel, Jonah Hill, Rob Morgan, Tomer Sisley, Matthew Perry, Ariana Grande, and Kid Cudi. all joining.

Speaking of stars!

Don’t look for the plot

Don’t Look Up follows two low-level astronomers who discover that an asteroid is on its way to destroy Earth and they have to go on a giant media tour to warn humanity, which presumably involves several hilarious mishaps and awkward interviews.

The film is being written and directed by Adam McKay, who honed his comedic skills directing films like Step Brothers and Anchorman, but recently directed Oscar films like The Big Short and Vice.

McKay says, “I am very excited to do this movie with Jen Lawrence. She is what people in the 17th century used to call “an act of dynamite.” And the fact that Netflix sees this movie as a global comedy sets the bar very high for me and my team in an exciting and motivating way. “

Is there a trailer for Don’t Look Up?

There’s no trailer yet, but as soon as it’s available we’ll update this page accordingly.
