The news comes as earlier this week, Google also released its highly anticipated Android 11 update, with Samsung Galaxy fans still waiting for the patch to arrive.
As always, Google Pixel devices are among the first to get the latest Android update, but a selection of Chinese smartphones were also able to get Android 11 from day one.

Aside from the usual bags full of bug fixes, security patches, and performance tweaks, Android 11’s biggest improvements are chat bubbles and built-in screen recording.
But there are also a number of features that arrived in the Android 11 update that are exclusive to Pixel devices.
Among the features that Pixel owners are getting for the first time are Smart Reply, Live View with Location Sharing, and App Suggestions. Describing these exclusive Pixel features in a blog post, Technical Program Manager Matt Meffin said, “A couple of times a year, your Pixel gets a boost with software updates that send new features, tricks and apps to your phone. .
“And this time, with new Pixel features first in Android 11, your Pixel has even more intelligence to make it better and more useful, like giving you new ways to control your media and organize your apps, and making it easier to communicate with friends and family. And it all comes with privacy as a priority. It all happens over the air, so you get that new phone feeling over and over again. “
