Disney + could be about to add Tom Holland’s Spiderman movies to the streaming service, if a new ad is something to go by.
A new Disney + ad in Latin America includes a clip of Holland as Spider-Man from Far from home as well as images of Robert Downey Jr in Homecoming.
Previously, Disney + said it had no plans to add Spiderman to his collection of MCU films, as Sony Pictures still owns the rights to the character.
“We love our friends at Sony, but we have no plans to have the action live Spiderman movies on Disney +, “said Disney Director of Content and Marketing Ricky Strauss.
“We will have all Spiderman The animated shows we made will be there under the Marvel banner. But who knows what might happen in the future? “
Digital spy has reached out to Disney + to confirm if Tom Holland’s Spidey will actually make it to the platform.
Meanwhile, last month, Holland officially began filming. Spider man 3 on location in Atlanta after finishing filming at the Unexplored Film adaptation.
When it comes to the film’s plot, Sony has declined to confirm or deny reports that the former Spiderman stars Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will team up with Holland for an adaptation of a highly controversial comic book story.
However, we do know that Jamie Foxx is confirmed to reprise his role as Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2, while Benedict Cumberbatch will open the Multiverse of Insanity to Spidey as Doctor Strange.
Spider-Man: Far From Home is available now at DVD, Blu-ray Y digital download. One third Spiderman movie starring Tom Holland has a release date of December 17, 2021.
