Capcom brings Devil May Cry 5 to PS5 with some new features and updates. Revealed during today’s PS5 Showcase event, Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition is coming to Sony’s next-generation console and will be available digitally from launch.

The biggest addition to DMC5: Special Edition is Vergil, who joins the game as a playable character; the ad trailer spent a lot of time showcasing his striking sword skills. Those who already own the original DMC5 on PS4 will also have the option to purchase Vergil as paid DLC “at a later date.”

Capcom shared some additional details about DMC5: Special Edition in a PlayStation blog post. In addition to Vergil, the game will feature the fan-favorite Turbo mode, as well as the Legendary Dark Knight difficulty. The game is also receiving some visual and performance improvements thanks to the additional power of the PS5, including an optional 120 FPS mode.

As mentioned above, DMC5: Special Edition will launch digitally alongside the PS5 this November for $ 40 USD. The system itself launches on November 12 in the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea, and on November 19 in other territories. The digital edition will cost $ 400 USD, while the standard edition will cost $ 500 USD.
