Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo has revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo has been telling him what to eat since his arrival in Turin.
The 24-year-old Brazilian joined the Serie A giants from Barcelona in the summer and has made 12 appearances in all competitions so far this season.
During the last few months, he has had the opportunity to observe how one of the best players of all time trains sharing a dressing room with Ronaldo.
And talking to Marca Arthur revealed how impressed he was with the mindset of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.
“I already knew because people talk, the world of football is small and they tell you about it,” said Arthur.
“They tell you what it does, but when you see it up close it is impressive.
“There are days when we come back at two in the morning because we play late and he starts training.
“Who does that? Cristiano. I joke and tell him that he is sick, but that you are going to tell someone who has so many Ballon d’Or. He is mentally very strong.
Arthur also explained how much Ronaldo has helped him settle into Juventus, and has even told him what he should eat.
“Since I arrived it has helped me a lot because we speak the same language,” he added.
“He is always close and helps me, for example, in things that I have not understood. Also in food, it even tells me what to eat.
“He cares about others, he always tries to help and contribute something. I’ve been very lucky with Cristiano and with everyone in the dressing room, they are very good people.”
Ronaldo has scored 12 goals in 10 appearances for Juventus so far this season, and will look to get into action again when his team take on Genoa on Sunday.
