Kate Middleton’s mother, Carole Middleton, is doing her part to help out during the coronavirus crisis. Over the weekend, a new photo of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis’ grandmother appeared on social media.
In the image, Middleton, who directs the Party Pieces story of party supplies, can be seen carrying a box full of toys and gift bags in the trunk of a car. The packages were delivered to the children at an NHS hospital.
“Delighted to help @helpnhsheroes with some toys for the children’s rooms,” the caption reads.
In addition to making donations like the one featured on Instagram, Carole and her husband Michael have also been keeping busy lately by video chatting with their grandchildren.
“I think your father and my parents and our families and things like that have really loved keeping in touch with the kids because they know it’s really difficult,” Kate said in a recent interview with the BBC.
But sometimes it’s hard to keep kids focused, especially Prince Louis, who just turned two years old. “It gets a little hectic, I’m not going to lie to the two-year-old,” said Kate.
“For some reason, he sees the red button and always wants to press the red button,” William shared, laughing.
William and Kate, of course, have also been busy with their own coronavirus relief efforts. Last week, they announced a new mental health initiative focused on providing support to those working on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic. Our first line, as the project is called, will be the “couple’s highest priority for the coming months.”
