Call of Duty: Warzone Cold War gameplay revealed with new map

Activision showed the first gameplay scenes for the Call of Duty: Warzone version featuring Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War.

The game will receive its big Season One update on December 16 and will include a new map for the first time since the Battle Royale mode debuted in March. Warzone has been hugely successful with 80 million downloads and counting. Along with Call of Duty: Mobile, it helped propel the Call of Duty franchise to $ 3 billion in the last year and became a franchise throughout the year.

The announcement was made at The Game Awards, the grand awards show created by Geoff Keighley to celebrate games. In the trailer, we saw a hooded bad boy chasing after CIA agent Russell Adler, the main character of the Cold War single-player campaign. The combat arena included what looked like the headquarters of the KGB, and the game had a lot of new weapons and vehicles. Adler was traveling in an attack helicopter and soldiers were crossing a river with skimmers that looked like jet skis.

The map change will be a big problem for players, who have been addicted to the existing map, but are probably eager for something new. That means that Warzone itself has become a major project within Activision, where thousands of developers are working on various Call of Duty titles. There were motorcycles, boats and nuclear weapons scattered throughout the video.

Activision said the Warzone update includes Rebirth Island, a new Verdansk Gulag experience, a new Resurgence game mode, as well as a new vehicle, operator, weapons, and more.
