Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Warzone publisher Activision has outlined its plans for this week’s big game update.
And it looks like it’s going to be a busy week for Call of Duty fans as the game has a double XP weekend.
Of course, this week’s Call of Duty update kicks off with a selection of new playlists for fans to experience on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
“A double dose of objective fun is available at the mosh pit Deathmatch Domination + Drop Zone,” an Activision post reads.
“In Deathmatch Domination, you earn points for capturing objectives and eliminating enemy players so that OBJs and slayers can earn points.
“In Drop Zone, keep aiming to receive the gift of aid packs and a series of kill streaks that keep the match interesting. All aid packs are up for grabs, it just takes longer to capture the enemy packs, but things good ones are worth the wait. “
Gunfight fans will also be delighted to hear that 3v3 Snipers are returning in Modern Warfare as part of this week’s update.
As Activision points out, knowledge of each map is essential when playing Snipers 3v3 against other teams.
“Join your squad and fight in Gunfight 3v3 Snipers,” explains Activision. “Knowledge of the maps is key to success in this sniper shootout, as is communication with teammates.
“Make calls and look at the flag during overtime. Pro tip: Consider closing the gap and making a finishing move while the enemy reloads for an epic Killcam.
It goes without saying that Call of Duty fans will want to check out the in-game store as Activision releases the ‘Beyond the Pale’ and ‘Notice Me: IV’ bundles.
The ‘Beyond the Pale’ bundle contains the ‘Dreadwood’ skin for Ghost, as well as two legendary blueprints, a watch, a business card, an emblem, a spray, a prank, a weapon charm and a gesture.
As for the popular Call of Duty Battle Royale spin-off, Activision is gearing up to release Warzone Mini Royale Trios as part of this week’s update.
Available only for the weekend, Warzone Mini Royale Trios is described as a “short, sweet and intense variant” of the regular Battle Royale mode.
“Mini Royale compares the experience to the first and last minute of a standard Battle Royale game,” adds Activision.
Mini Royale will join Battle Royale Solos, Duos, Trios and Quads and Plunder Quads.
But perhaps most exciting of all, Activision will be hosting a Double XP event over the weekend.
Ideal if you’re struggling to level up your Battle Pass, players can earn double XP, double weapon XP, and double Battle Pass progression from September 25 to September 28.
