(Pocket-lint) – Call of Duty Mobile is already a year old. Having shaken up the mobile gaming market with its brand of fast-paced multiplayer and capable battle royale option, the game has been in the top spots on Android and iPhone for much of the past year. It has had more than 300 million downloads.
To celebrate the anniversary, there is an excellent season. As a little piece of celebration, there is a place called The Club. You can go to the club just to have a little fun, have a drink or play with the anniversary machine that can win you special prizes.
You can earn coins for the anniversary machine simply by playing and completing tasks or playing mini-games. There is, for example, a game room inside The Club, where you can play some old arcade games. Yes, games in the game.
Outside of the frivolity, there is a new map for Battle Royale, based on Alcatraz. This was a map from Black Ops 4 and you will be able to fight on the prison island.
There are also new weapons and score streaks that will be unlocked through the Battle Pass, as well as some changes in multiplayer. The Halloween Standoff map is back, which was last available when the game was first released, as well as the 10v10 replay, which makes us very happy, because it is a blast.
A new map, King, joins the 1v1 or 2v2 gameplay options, where we’ve seen players like Pine before.
Finally there’s Cranked, which is pretty fun and was previously seen in Call of Duty Ghosts. In Cranked, once you kill, you have a timer running to perform the next kill, otherwise you explode. Just huh? Just make sure you maintain the mortality rate or you will be the one to die.
Finally, later in the season the tactical advantage will present itself. This will allow you to carry a second grenade, but you will have to complete the Heavy Duty challenge to win it.
