Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War It’s already expected to be a massive game, both in terms of publicity and file size. In fact, in its original Windows PC system specs, Treyarch said that the game would require up to 250GB of storage space. However, Treyarch has clarified that that number may be slightly lower, if players so choose.
When players install Black Ops Cold War, they will have to install the whole game, but they will be able to uninstall the modes they don’t want after that, a feature that appeared recently Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Y War zone on PC. However, this means that console players will need a certain amount of storage to load the game first. These are the requirements for each console:
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War console storage requirements
PlayStation 4 – 95 GB
PlayStation 5 – 133 GB
Xbox One: 93GB
Xbox Series X and Series S: 136GB
Meanwhile, PC gamers will be able to choose exactly which modes to install, rather than installing everything and then uninstalling certain parts later. These are the PC requirements for each mode:
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War PC storage requirements
Multiplayer – 35 GB
Full game – 82 GB
Full game and ultra graphics: 125GB
While this is a massive step down from the original PC requirement of up to 250GB, none of these numbers seem to include War zone, which is probably around 80GB for most platforms. With War zone Included, the file size will likely jump to at least 200GB when combined with the full game.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is scheduled to be released on November 13. Players who have pre-ordered the game can start preloading it in the coming days, according to Treyarch.
