Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War to Nerf Snipers soon

Anyone who has played the alpha version of Cold War will agree that snipers are very useful in the game. Call of Duty: Cold War The alpha gameplay has impressed players who are partial to sniper rifles with how good the sniper mechanics are.

Now it has come to light that Treyarch deliberately polished sniper rifles in the alpha version. The ADS speed of the snipers is very low, allowing instant fast sights. Snipers dominate in ranges where SMGs and ARs generally rule the roost.

For the most part, the community is happy with the benefit, as the Modern Warfare era was not easy for snipers. With this advantage, shooting has been quite refreshing in the alpha version of the Cold War, especially when one takes advantage of the freedom of movement with the high speeds ADS it provides.

Unfortunately, Tony Flame announced on Twitter that things will soon change for snipers. Treyarch will not launch the game with overpowered snipers. In fact, players can see a change in the beta version itself.

We upgrade snipers to assess their performance in this alpha specifically.

“Sniper Rifles will have balance changes for the next beta based on our analytics data this weekend.”

However, it seems that many expected something of this nature to happen. Reddit user u / JuggerClutch had addressed his concerns last week.

We snipers have waited so long for snipers to be really usable again. The sniper in Cold War looks REALLY good and most importantly – satisfying.

Please, Treyarch, I’m begging you. Don’t change it. If there is to be SBMM, at least let the snipers take the reins. Horrible sniper + SBMM is a nightmare.

Sincerely,

An excited sniper

Popular streamer FaZe Pamaj also posted his two cents on the subject.

All in all, the developers will definitely be nerfing snipers in Cold War very soon. So all the snipers who are having the time of their lives in the alpha version, I hope they survive the release this November.
