Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta extended for one more day

This weekend Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta will be extended for an additional 24 hours, Treyarch and Activision have confirmed.

This weekend the beta version of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War was launched on all platforms on which the game is scheduled to launch: PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

During the beta, Activision emailed players, urging them to resolve a series of cryptic messages that relate to the game’s Cold War setup.

Unsurprisingly, the community managed to crack the code and solve the puzzles, resulting in a one-day extension of the cross-platform beta.

As such, the beta will now conclude at 10 a.m. M. PT / 1 p. M. ET / 6 p. M. BST on October 20. Initially, the beta version was due to end at the times indicated 24 hours before, on October 19.

“Thanks to the code-cracking efforts of our amazing community, an additional day of the #BlackOpsColdWar Beta has been unlocked!” announced the official Call of Duty Twitter account. “The beta version will now end on October 20 at 10 AM PT.”

This will be good news for some users: gamers have complained about the game’s crossover play during beta, and console players suffer at the hands of PC cheaters. As such, PS4 and Xbox One players have disabled crossover play for a better experience.
