Burger King is giving away free Whoppers: this is how to get one

[ad_1]

Burger King has reopened some of its UK restaurants in an attempt to alleviate people’s fast food cravings during the coronavirus blockade, and people have queued for hours to get one on their hands.

The hamburger giant is aware that the confinement has transformed the British into kitchen maniacs and wants people to share their worst failures in the kitchen.

Burger King is encouraging customers to share their worst attempts at home cooking for a shot at a Whopper burger.

All you have to do is share the @BurgerKingUK bug with the #WishItWasAWhopper hashtag.

And the winners of the worst failures will be rewarded with a coupon for a Whopper, the only time it feels good to fail.

A man posted a photo of his sad-looking burger attempt after being forced to use Warburton snacks as burger buns.

On top of each one was a lonely slice of cheese and a portion of withered salad, nice …

He wrote, “We wanted BK and we didn’t have burgers either … #wishitwasawhopper.”

With which Burger King replied: “These are desperate times.”

Another said, “I tried to make a homemade Whopper and ended this God-abandoned disaster,” while they attached a photo of a McDonald’s Big Mac.

Burger King has plans to reopen one in each city by May 31, totaling 350 restaurants.

Katie Evans, Chief Marketing Officer for Burger King UK, said: “We are excited to be able to open more restaurants across the UK this week, including our first customer restaurant Drive Thru, which is a huge step forward.”

The restaurants will be open from noon to 11 p.m., and customers will be able to place their orders through the Deliveroo or Just Eat apps.
