Confusingly, the revelation of this Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War The timed exclusive was uploaded under the title “Fallout 76 Steel Dawn ‘Recruitment’ Teaser Trailer PS4”. However, watching the video shows a trailer for PlayStation-specific Black Ops Cold War featuring the Zombies Onslaught game mode. Either someone was intending to upload this as an exclusive Black Ops Cold War reveal, or someone put the wrong video on the YouTube uploader. Either way, ow!
In Zombies Onslaught mode (in which PS4 and PS5 players will get the first dibs) the two-person multiplayer maps are infested with zombies. Survive the horde and earn exclusive rewards when the mode drops with the release of Black Ops Cold War on November 13. Zombies Onslaught will remain a PlayStation exclusive for nearly a year: Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC players will have access to the mode on November 1, 2021.
This is a big problem, as timed exclusives are already controversial. Call of Duty: Modern WarfareSpec Ops Survival mode had a one-year PS4 exclusivity, which caused quite a bit of outrage in 2019 when the news broke. Spec Ops Survival mode has just been available to all players in Call of Duty: Warzone season six.
