With only a month to go until the long-awaited premiere of ‘No Time To Die’ hits theaters, the creators make sure there is enough buzz around the film.
In February, Billie Eilish unveiled the film’s official theme song. At that time, the 25th film in the James Bond franchise would hit theaters in April. Then the pandemic hit the world and halted the film’s release.
With the film’s release scheduled for November, Eilish released the video for the song, which was presumably completed over several months. The ‘Lovely’ singer shared a glimpse of the song’s video on Twitter and released the song on YouTube.
She wrote, “Billie Eilish – ‘No Time To Die` Music Video Is Now Available #NoTimeToDie'”.
As a gift to Eilish and James Bond fans, the Daniel Kleinman-directed clip intertwines images of Eilish with scenes taken from the film.
The song has reportedly been produced by Eilish’s brother Finneas, along with Stephen Lipson and orchestral arrangements by Hans Zimmer and Matt Dunkley, and on guitar by Smiths co-founder Johnny Marr.
Eilish, 18, is the youngest artist to write and record a James Bond theme song. While speaking to a media outlet, the young singer “It feels crazy to be a part of this in every way. To be able to compose the theme song for a movie that is part of such a legendary series is a great honor.”
Finneas added: “Writing the theme song for a Bond movie is something we’ve been dreaming of our entire lives. There is no more iconic combination of music and film than ‘Goldfinger’ and ‘Live and Let Die.’ we feel very fortunate to play a small role in such a legendary franchise, long live 007. “
Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, the film’s producers, said: “Billie and Finneas have written an incredibly powerful and moving song for ‘No Time To Die, which has been impeccably designed to work within the emotional story of the film.” .
