If you’ve ever wanted to be part of a Bill and Ted adventure, now is your chance. Bill and Ted face the music screenwriter Ed Solomon announced on Twitter Tuesday how fans can be part of the new movie.
Any fan who wants a cameo should listen to a new demo song from Bill & Ted Face the Music on the PartyOnWithBillAndTed.com website, and then film themselves (or even their pets) doing something musical.
They can play real instruments, or better yet, show off their air guitar skills and then submit their videos online for a chance to include their performance in the new movie.
The PartyOnWithBillAndTed.com website offers some tips on how to make the best video, like learning the demo track tempo or just using the song in the background.
Of course, it’s always a good idea to be as creative as possible to stand out from the crowd.
“We want variety, and we want people to feel free to use their imaginations and creativity,” Solomon told Collider on Tuesday. “Rock on the air guitar. Or play a mop and the lid of a trash can. Simply dancing is fine, too.”
“We are not looking for anything specific, just fun and originality and a certain emotional quality that is impossible to specify, but that generally arises when people are having fun,” added Solomon.
The deadline for submissions is May 20. Bill & Ted Face the Music is slated to hit theaters on August 21.
