Still looking for a PS5 or Xbox Series X for Christmas? Good news: Best Buy is getting new stock, which it plans to sell tomorrow, December 15th.
The units will go on sale “sometime after” 9 am EST / 6 am PST, the company wrote in a blog post today. However, you will only be able to purchase the product online through Bestbuy.com or through the retailer’s mobile app.
The other caveat is how successful orders won’t get delivered to customers’ homes. Buyers will need to go to their local Best Buy store to pick up the console.
The announcement could offer some relief to customers still struggling to buy next-generation video game consoles. Both the PS5 and Xbox Series X / S remain out of stock at major retailers.
Desperate consumers can still find many units available on eBay from resellers who managed to get hold of some of the stock. But you will have to pay two or three times the normal price.
If it gets going during tomorrow’s restocking at Best Buy, there’s still hope. We recommend trying a free inventory check service, which can immediately alert you to other PS5 and Xbox Series X restocks at all major retailers. Real-time alerts should give you a head start, although you’ll still have to act fast to secure the order.
During tomorrow’s restocking, Best Buy will also launch a three-day sale “with thousands of deals” on products, including laptops, televisions and headphones. The products offered can also be delivered to customers’ homes or can be retrieved through curbside collection.
