One of the first bows you will find is The saga of the kingmaker, which begins with the Ragnar’s songs mission sending Valhalla The protagonist Eivor sets out to locate and kill King Burgred to expand the power of the Raven Clan in the Ledecestrescire region.
The Arch remains straightforward until you get to the third mission called Ledesestre rumors who directs Eivor to speak with the lookout Ivarr in the city of Ledesestre, who has some clues about Burgred’s whereabouts. Designed by Ubisoft Valhallamake quest trackers less intrusive to improve player emersion, but that means it is sometimes difficult to find certain Arc targets in Valhallaexpanding map.
This is where to find Ivarr to continue the Ledesestre rumors and what to expect next.
Travel to Ledecestre
First things first: you’ll have to go to Ledecestre. The easiest way to do this is to jump on your boat and travel along the Soar River until it finally ends at Ledecestre Pier, which is located northeast of Camp Glen Ford.
Once anchored, you will notice a damaged tower overlooking the dock. If you’re having trouble spotting it, use your trusty Synin Raven (Up on the directional pad for console controllers or the V button on PC) to find it. You’ll find Ivarr waiting for you.
This is what the tower will look like once you disembark from your boat.
Help Ivarr locate his missing explorer
You have found him, Ivarr will inform you that he sent a scout to search for the Burgred King but he has not returned. Fearing he may be dead, Ivarr sends you to pick up where the scout left off.
He will tell you to explore a church and an old bathhouse in the city. You can give up the bathhouse entirely unless you want some extra loot and history information; Ceolbert, Ivarr’s explorer, is in the church.
They will lock him in a room on the second floor, and you will have to kill the guard with the key below to free him. Ceolbert will tell you that King Burgred isn’t in Ledecestre after all, which you’ll get a clue of if you explore the bathhouse. But he has learned that the king’s wife, Lady Aethelswith, is in another town called Templebrough.
From there, you’ll need to get Ceolbert to safety by escorting him out of the church and defending him in the skirmish that breaks out when the two of you leave. Once you regroup with Ivarr, you will get the next mission in The King Maker’s Saga, The walls of Templebrough, which requires Eivor to find Lady Aethels with and continue her quest to defeat King Burgred.
