When Assassin’s Creed Valhalla launches next month, it will support intergenerational progression for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S.
Earlier this week, Ubisoft revealed Ubisoft Connect, its new platform bundled in UPlay and Ubisoft Club as a streamlined initiative. Through this new system, cloud saves will be used to support intergenerational progress for multiple Ubisoft games, one of which is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
This pairs nicely with free next-gen updates for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, among other games from Ubisoft. So if you buy Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on current-gen platforms next November, and then decide to buy a next-gen console, you’ll immediately get a free copy of the game and the ability to pick up right where you left off. off.
Ubisoft Connect has not actually launched yet. Ubisoft’s new platform will launch on November 10 for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, and a few days later, on November 15 for PS5. That makes it the launch day initiative for Xbox consoles, but not for Sony’s next-gen console, as it will arrive just days after the latest console’s launch on November 12.
There is now less than a month left until Assassin’s Creed Valhalla launches on November 10. Ubisoft moved the game’s release forward a week to coincide with Xbox Series X / S, for which Valhalla is a launch day title. The game is also a day one port for the PS5, available a few days later when Sony’s next-gen console launches on November 12.
