The toughest deal comes when Arsenal secured Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to a three-year contract in a big boost for Mikel Arteta. It is unclear how much of an impact it will have on the recruitment, but the Gabonese striker who will stay at Arsenal is sure to attract top talent from Europe to join the revolution in the Emirates.
There is money to spend, but Arteta appears to need to sell in addition to the funds provided by the owners, with two possible signings before the transfer period ends.
Here are the latest transfer rumors, deals made and more about the Emirates.
VILLA CONFIRMS SIGNATURE MARTINEZ
Aston Villa has confirmed the signing of Emiliano Martínez from Arsenal.
The goalkeeper joins the club on a £ 20 million deal after impressing with the Gunners towards the end of last season following Bernd Leno’s injury.
The latter’s return meant that Martinez was again the second choice, but his performances have earned him a move elsewhere.
The Argentine leaves Arsenal after ten years at the club.

It remains to be seen whether such a deal would interest the Gunners.

MARTINEZ SAYS OFF EMOTIONAL
Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez has taken to Instagram to bid farewell to Gunners fans ahead of their move to Aston Villa.
“Thank you Arsenal,” he said. “For me, I couldn’t be happier to walk out the front door with the Arsenal fan base supporting me and the club supporting me.
“I had been at the club for 11 years, and although it was a tough road for me, and I suffered my time at Arsenal, today I am happy and tried to show young goalkeepers how work is worth it.”
“When you work hard, you are not going to be happy all the time, you are going to have frustrations, bad times in life.” Everyone at Arsenal understood and support me in my decision. The Arsenal fan base was always there for me, I felt their love.
“Even when Bernd got injured this season, I got tons of messages like ‘we trust you’, ‘you are our goalkeeper’. That gave me confidence, made me win games and made me the goalkeeper I am today.”
“They understood my story and they love the way I worked at the club. I am very happy to be part of the Arsenal family for 11 years.”

WALCOTT AND IWOBI CAN BE SOLD BEFORE CLOSING THE WINDOW
Some transfer news indirectly related to Arsenal here. Many Gunners fans will have continued to follow the progress of Theo Walcott and Alex Iwobi, but it looks like both could exceed the requirements at Everton.
The Toffees, according to the Times, are looking to move several players in an attempt to raise some funds after spending heavily on players like James Rodriguez and Allan this summer.
Walcott and Iwobi could be forced to look for new clubs, having fallen out of favor with Carlo Ancelotti.
