Over the past few weeks, Epic Games and Apple have been in a highly publicized showdown regarding violations of the guidelines. Apple had initially removed Fortnite from the App Store as Epic Games violated the terms of the iOS deal. As a result, Epic Games filed a lawsuit against Apple, prompting Apple to threaten to terminate Epic Games’ developer account. Unfortunately, Apple followed through on its threat on Friday. All of this quickly escalated and there seem to be two sides to the story.
Terminating the Epic developer account
The fight continues to keep Fortnite and other Unreal Engine games on iOS surprised a lot of people on Friday. Apple has officially canceled the developer account for Epic Games, which means that it can no longer create games for iPhone, Mac, or iPad. Although Apple suspended the Epic Games developer account, a judge ruled that Apple cannot ban iOS access to the Unreal Engine.
After removing the games from the App Store, Apple released a statement about it. ″We are disappointed that we had to cancel the Epic Games account on the App Store, ”Apple began. “We have worked with the Epic Games team for many years on their launches and launches. The court recommended that Epic abide by the App Store guidelines as their case progresses, guidelines they have followed for the past decade until they created this situation. “

Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney responded to Apple, who shared his thoughts on Twitter. He said that Apple is wrong in their wording and corrects them in their title.

PUBG mobile it’s clear for now
Apple’s latest move affects mobile games like Fortnite: Battle Royale and the Infinity Blade trilogy. Unfortunately, those who have removed the game from their devices cannot re-download it through the purchased tab of their iCloud account. For those who still own the game, they will not receive updates or make in-app purchases using Apple’s payment system.
Meanwhile, Sweeney shared that PUBG mobile it is still available in the app store as it works with the Unreal Engine. Apple recently shared details about the latest update to the game.
