Still at the top of new product launches, Apple this week launched Apple Music TV, a 24-hour livestream of popular music videos.

Available for free to US residents via Apple Music or Apple TV, the new feature debuted Monday with a countdown of the 100 most-listened songs of all time on the Cupertino platform. Users can look forward to “new music videos and exclusive premieres, select music video special blocks and live shows and events,” according to a company announcement published by Variety.

That includes Bruce Springsteen’s all-day Thursday celebration before his Letter for you album drop. Tune in on October 22 for back-to-back screenings of Springsteen’s most popular videos, an interview with Apple Music 1 radio DJ Zane Lowe, and a live fan event.

Apple Music TV is also expected to release new videos every Friday at noon, starting this week with Joji’s “777” and Saint Jhn’s “Gorgeous.” However, there is no information on the inclusion of music documentaries (including Apple Original Films doc Billie Eilish: the world a bit fuzzy, scheduled for release on Apple TV + in February 2021).

Like traditional television, the functions are limited: users can play, pause, and adjust the volume, as well as stream video to a Smart TV for large-screen viewing. Additional details are scarce; Cupertino did not immediately respond to PCMag’s request for comment.

Apple Music hit the streaming scene in 2015, bringing on-demand tunes, curated playlists, and Internet radio to more than 100 countries around the world. What started out as a strict music-only service has since expanded to include music videos, concert sequences, web series, and feature films.
