Apple Google may be building a competitor, adding more audible podcasts, and lifting the ad measurement company to 350 million. This is their Daily Crunch for October 28, 2020.
Great story: Apple is very into search
Apple’s growing interest in search technology and may also work on a product to compete with Google, according to the Financial Times.
In iOS 14, Apple now displays its own results when you type questions on the home screen. Also, there seems to be an increase in the functionality of Apple’s web crawler.
There may be more opportunities here. The US Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit against Google for what is known as blood thinning behaviors around search. However, this does not mean that Apple and Google will soon be heading to search; It could be a sign that Apple’s Siri Voice Assistant is getting more search queries.
