At its big online launch event today, Apple has shared some very interesting sales-related tidbit. It turns out that the company has already managed to sell more than 500 million tablets, since the first iPad hit the scene in 2010.

This is the first time Apple has given the public a sales number regarding its tablets since 2018, as it is generally quite secretive about these things, unless it has something to brag about, as it did today. Speaking of iPads, 53% of customers who buy one right now are buying their first iPad, so this probably means that the tablet field could still be growing, especially with the new pandemic conditions. Apple has also reiterated that, unsurprisingly, iPads have the highest customer satisfaction of all tablets, by far.
