Respawn has confirmed exactly when things will begin with the launch of Apex Legends Season 7.
The good news is, there’s a lot to look forward to, even if there are some server issues or patches to download.
Apex Season 7 will feature new Legends characters, Battle Pass, vehicle, and launch on the Steam platform.
For those who are preparing to play Apex Legends on Steam, Respawn has made it possible to preload the game.
This means you can be ready to experience it all when you start later this week.
A message from Respawn explains: “Apex Legends is now available to preload on Steam. The Steam launch will feature cross-progression with Origin, allowing players persistent progress across both accounts.
Season 7 of the award-winning Battle Royale introduces a new map: the floating city of Olympus. Plus, the new Legend Horizon is here to turn the competition upside down with its gravity-defying technology. Olympus features levitating “Trident” vehicles, giving the game an exciting new dimension.
“To celebrate the launch, Steam players will get free exclusive Portal and Half-Life inspired weapon charms to play this season.”

WHAT’S IN APEX LEGENDS SEASON 7?
New Legend: Horizon
She is the newest legend, a brilliant scientist, and a master of gravity manipulation. He has a deep connection to the new arena and a motivation that will touch your heartstrings.
Horizon’s custom spacesuit allows you to fall from great heights and control your movements in the air. Using his custom technology, he can use gravity lifts to give his team a vertical boost, and he can even deploy NEWT (his little robot named after his son, Newton) to drop a black micro-hole that draws opponents into the center seriously. crowd control.
ABILITIES
- Passive: Spacewalk – Increase control of the air and reduce the impacts of falls with the custom Horizon spacesuit.
- Tactic: Gravity Lift – Reverses the flow of gravity, lifting players up and propelling them out as they exit.
- Ultimate: Black hole: Implement NEWT to create a micro black hole that sucks in nearby legends.
New Map: Olympus
The Legends have entered a new arena: the sky city of Olympus. A utopia floating in the clouds above Psamathe, once a place where the brightest minds from the Outlands could meet and exchange ideas. However, an accident at an experimental research facility led to the creation of the Phase Rift (a massive bubble of Phase energy) and the city was abandoned.
Now players can take advantage of the luxurious amenities of Olympus. Rotating farm towers, beautiful gardens, and elegant restaurants serve as new settings for intense skirmishes. New vehicles called Tridents give your squad a way to power the battle and take your enemies by surprise. The Phase Runner, a Phase energy tunnel running through the center of Olympus, allows you to cross the map in seconds. And the Rift stands above all, mysterious and showy.
New Vehicle: The Trident
Exclusive to Olympus, the Trident is a floating car designed for your entire squad.
Navigate the roads to avoid choke points or use momentum to fly over jumps, this is done to speed up the first few rotations of the game. Drive in third person or travel as a passenger in first person with full shooting capabilities. The Trident is durable, so it will never explode, but the damage applied by enemy fire will be dispersed between players in the car. Don’t worry, you can still deal full damage to players by hitting them directly, so we’re looking forward to seeing some amazing shots from Kraber. Disembark to park anywhere and use as a makeshift late-game cover.
The Trident interacts with Legend’s abilities in many different ways, experiment and have fun!
LTM: Olympus Preview
To help you understand and explore the map without fear of getting shot, we are introducing a new playlist called Olympus Preview. This mode unites you with 30 Legends in Olympus and allows you to traverse the map to see map drops, loot areas and practice your routes until the end of the game. The circles are still on and once circle 4 ends, players return to the plane to begin the second skydiving race. There are a total of 3 runs before the match ends. This mode is only available for one week.
Legend Goal
Bangalore
Developer Note:
There is not much to say here. Rolling Thunder will still work primarily as a zoning ability, but with a somewhat shorter fuse, it will encourage enemies to leave the zone a bit faster.
Caustic
Developer Note:
Fighting with caustic gas is one of the most frustrating things in Apex Legends, and yet we need the gas to pose a significant threat or else enemies will just ignore it. With this change we attack what we believe is the biggest contributor to this frustration – the fact that your vision becomes blurry while on gas. This made it extremely difficult to fight back. To compensate for the energy loss, we are increasing the gas damage a bit.
Mirage
Developer Note:
Our trickster-in-chief is a difficult legend to keep relevant. Every time we make a change to the decoys, there is a clear increase in use and power as the Mirage networks learn to use their new tools, and then as the rest of the world takes notice and begins to be capable. to distinguish between the real Mirage and yours. beautiful holograms, that spike disappears. This time we want to try to make it a bit more difficult to remove the lures. We are giving them health, but to make this very clear from the start: they will not function as a shield. While taking damage from the bullets, the bullet also goes through them and hits whatever is behind them. This is what we call the corridor test – you shouldn’t be able to win a showdown against an enemy in a straight corridor without cover by throwing a decoy and saying that the decoy eats a full shot from Wingman. The lures will also reproduce unique hit effects and briefly disappear when they take damage to help you differentiate between them and the actual Mirage.
Octane
Developer Note:
Octane is a legend for players who like to go fast, run to the enemy and get knocked down a lot. We think it’s absolutely fine; The fact that your Trios win rate isn’t good doesn’t bother us because both your match win rate (think about this as your ability to score drops) and your pick rate are very healthy. With that said, we thought we could give him a little more help outside of combat. His passive’s healing rate was very slow, requiring up to 200 seconds to fully heal his health bar.
Wattson
Developer Note:
Wattson is the anti-octane – not super powerful individually, not chosen very often under Plat, but absolutely a must have for competitive teams. We’re happy with that niche too, but I thought it would be safe to give it a little extra power at best: people running to their fences. Our aim is for this to increase its power and appeal at lower levels of play, especially as we don’t see many players encountering Wattson’s fences in high-skill matches.
Many
Developer Note:
We’re taking another twist to make Loba the ultimate legend to solve all of her team’s loot needs. We’ve heard your feedback that you want improvements to your tactic as well, and while that’s certainly not off the table, our data suggests that your match win rate (how many knockdowns you get compared to how many times you’re knocked down, across all matches ) is quite healthy. It is his Trios win percentage that is worryingly low. Make no mistake: this is a big change to make the black market powerful.
Wall
-
Sheila: Now takes 1.25 seconds to fully spin, up from 2 seconds.
-
Amped Wall: Now takes 3 seconds to fully build, up from 4 seconds.
Developer Note:
In Patch 6.1, we made a small change to the time it takes for Sheila to adjust her bullet extension. This did not significantly increase his win rate. The other half of that change is in this patch. We don’t want Rampart to stop being a legend that requires configuration, but we do want it to be faster to configure. Amped Wall should remain a primarily out-of-combat build ability rather than a reactive ability and Sheila should remain an area denial tool rather than an assassination machine, but like all things these balance points exist in a specter, and with this patch we’re bringing them a little closer to reactive / killer machine territory.
Pioneer:
Developer Note:
Pathfinder is still a huge achiever in terms of win rate. The good news is that his claw shift at 6.1 didn’t move his win rate much (up 1% overall). We’re doing two things in this patch: we’re tweaking its hitboxes, and we’re fine-tuning for Grappling Hook which will firmly move it into upgrade territory. More context below!
Hitbox: Pathfinder has a tall but extremely thin hitbox. Much of his model is non-shootable, and his arms and legs in particular do not represent a large amount of shooting area either. Here’s a before and after comparison of Pathfinder hitboxes:
