At 5 p.m. on Halloween night, Jack arrives. Jack is the Halloween czar who arrives every year to celebrate the big day. When the Halloween update announcement went live, I talked about how this is the start of some fun events. Yes, a few more parties will appear this year, but this one is special. Essentially, you are going trick-or-treating with your villagers and getting DIY fun and more.

Hopefully, you spent the month collecting candy at the Nook Store. This will be your way to get DIY from others on your island. By gifting candy, you’ll get some spooky recipes for the following:

  • Spooky garland
  • Creepy table setting
  • Creepy wall
  • Creepy ground
  • Creepy carpet

You will also have in your hands some lollipops. Yes, they look delicious, but gifting them to Jack gives you two huge DIYs. First off, the Pumpkin Carriage is a wonderful way to put those pumpkins to good use. Similarly, Spooky Wand is a fun way to cap off the holidays and your festivities in the game. Finally, you can also learn two reactions during the Animal crossing Halloween event. The first is “Haunt”, which he will learn from Jack. A villager of yours will also teach you “Scare”. It’s amazing how much I’ve played this game and I can’t imagine stopping anytime soon.
