Have you ever thought that there are not enough emoji on your smartphone? While new options are added every year, Google has come up with a way to help you express yourself by customizing emojis you already have on your phone.
Android Emoji Kitchen was unveiled in February this year and offers the option to combine certain elements of different emojis, but now an update has expanded the feature with 14,000 new options.
Why would you want this? It allows you to take elements like the surprised face and combine it with the ghost so you can change the expression on certain emojis and more. Some of the options aren’t the best and we’ve managed to come up with some pretty weird combinations, but with 14,000 options there’s a lot to experiment with.
Google highlighted new options like the ability to combine the globe emoji with the face mask (as you can see in the image above), giving you the option of a sick looking planet with a face mask on top.
This update started rolling out to beta Gboard users in October, but if it wasn’t part of that beta version, Google has now confirmed that the update will roll out to everyone in the next few weeks. However, we don’t have a specific time yet.
It will be available to all those with Android devices running Android 6 and above, but it will not be available on Gboard for iOS, so iPhone users will miss this one.
