Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has discovered the dangers of working from home after the Liverpool midfielder was rudely interrupted during training.
Premier League stars have to use their own homes to keep fit during the coronavirus blockade with off-limits training camps in an attempt to curb the spread of Covid-19.
It means that many high-level footballers have to do their daily regimes in the confines of their own homes, causing their own set of dangers.
Many members of the public have undoubtedly suffered the discomfort of having another family member interrupt their day when they work from home, although it is true that the Reds’ problem was a more unique touch.
While isolated in the house he shares with the girlfriend of pop star Perrie Edwards of Little Mix, the England international chose to do a bit of stretching on Sunday night.
However, the former Arsenal man had company for training as Edwards, Hatchi and Travis’ dogs quickly joined him, and the pair climbed all over the 26-year-old man.
Edwards chose to share the images on Instagram and it seemed that Oxlade-Chamberlain was not enjoying the extra company, as he was heard saying at one point: “Let me stretch, man.”
Hatchi could later be seen getting involved in some of his own stretches, receiving praise from the England midfielder who commented, “Good down dog.”
Oxlade-Chamberlain and Edwards have certainly been keeping themselves busy in isolation, and images of the couple dancing in sync went viral last month.
And Edwards shed light on what it was like to be locked up with a footballer, revealing that the England international would have hyperactive moments every day.
She said to Roman Kemp of Capital FM: “Because he’s such a vigorous daily workout that he will like his training sessions and then he will have a fun half hour and I’m like ‘what are you doing now? “
